Based on 2025 non-GAAP free cash flow of $6.337 billion, the simple FCF yield is about 3.8%. Based on my more conservative Owner Earnings of $7.69 billion, the Owner Earnings yield is about 4.6%. Compared with a broad index, TMO's advantages are business quality and understandability, while its disadvantages are single-company risk and acquisition dependence. Compared with the 10-year Treasury yield of 4.57%, TMO's simple FCF yield is even lower, and the conservative Owner Earnings yield is only barely comparable. Therefore, the reason to buy it can only be "believing it can grow steadily over the next decade and keep raising cash flow per share over the long run."
