The problem is that profits are thin: after costs, less than 5 is left from every 100 of goods sold (4.78% in the latest quarter, the lowest in nearly 15 quarters), because Quanta has to pay upfront for expensive chips and then resell them. Revenue gets large, but profit is diluted. More importantly, it is profitable on paper, yet cash has flowed out for 2 consecutive years, turning the company from cash-rich into indebted.

The report is most concerned about 2 things: whether thin margins can stabilize, and whether Quanta would be badly hurt if the AI investment boom cools, given that 80% of revenue is tied to it. On price, the current level is 376.5, while professionals generally see fair value around 385, leaving only 2 or 3 percentage points of upside. The report's math suggests waiting for a pullback to about 320, or for margins to recover for 2 consecutive quarters, before there is a better safety cushion.

Overall, this is one of the few solid companies in the AI wave that is genuinely shipping products and making money, but the price has largely reflected the good news. The rating is therefore "Hold": existing holders can keep holding and collect about 4% in dividends, while prospective new buyers may want to wait.

I. Conclusion First

Rating: Hold. Quanta is an AI server manufacturing leader with very high earnings delivery and a very solid industry position, but both profit quality and valuation have already flashed yellow. Delivery is strong: FY2025 revenue was TWD 2.1236 trillion, up 50.5% year over year; 2026Q1 revenue grew 66.6% year over year; AI server order visibility extends into 2027; and Quanta is the world's second-largest NVIDIA Blackwell rack-scale ODM, behind only Foxconn. It is one of the "arms merchants" in the AI compute arms race that is actually shipping products and earning money, in sharp contrast with many pre-revenue, narrative-only names in the market. The two yellow lights are: 1) profit quality, with 2026Q1 quarterly gross margin plunging to 4.78%, the lowest in nearly fifteen quarters, net margin only about 2.6%, operating cash flow negative for two consecutive years, and the balance sheet shifting from net cash to net debt of roughly TWD 118.2 billion; 2) valuation, with a TTM P/E of 20.3x at the absolute top of the past decade (2015-2022 was only 6.5-11x for a long period), a 6.86x P/B ratio that is the highest among Taiwanese peers, and a FactSet median analyst target price of 385 implying only +2-4% upside from the current price.

One-sentence logic: Quanta is riding the NVIDIA Blackwell supercycle, has doubled revenue in two years, and has secured the position of the world's second-largest rack-scale ODM, making it one of the most tangible earnings beneficiaries of the AI wave; but "selling picks and shovels at a 4.78% gross margin" exposes the manufacturing destiny. Revenue explosion is not translating into margin expansion, the Buy & Sell model forces Quanta to pre-fund expensive GPU/HBM components and dilutes gross margin, operating cash flow has been negative for two consecutive years, and profit quality is the hard flaw. Add a 10-year-high TTM valuation, the highest P/B among Taiwanese peers, only 2-4% analyst-implied upside, Goldman's Neutral rating with a target below the current price, unresolved succession for 77-year-old Barry Lam, and a proposed GDR that may dilute shareholders by 6.4%, and the conclusion is clear: real growth, a moderate moat, a price that already reflects the case, and a thin margin of safety.

Core contradiction: Real growth + real industry position (revenue doubled in two years + world's second-largest rack-scale ODM + orders through 2027 + dividends paid for 32 consecutive years) ↔ profit quality and valuation already overdrawn (quarterly gross margin of 4.78%, the lowest in nearly fifteen quarters + net margin around 2.6% + operating cash flow negative for two consecutive years + net cash turning into TWD 118.2 billion of net debt + TTM P/E at a 10-year high + P/B highest among Taiwanese peers + analyst upside only 2-4% + Goldman maintaining Neutral) + governance uncertainty (Barry Lam, age 77, with no clear successor + proposed 6.4% GDR dilution). The result is "Hold": a good company, a reasonably expensive price, and insufficient margin of safety.

Valuation and buy zone (TWD):

The current price of 376.5 sits in the base-case range and offers a thin margin of safety. Consider adding only after a pullback toward around 320, just above the upper end of the bear range and about 14x forward P/E, or after gross margin has clearly stabilized and recovered for two consecutive quarters. Existing holders can continue to hold for growth plus a 3.99% dividend yield.

II. What Quanta Is: From "Notebook Champion" to "AI Server Arms Merchant"

Quanta Computer is a global leader in electronics manufacturing (ODM/EMS), but the answer to "what is Quanta" changed completely around 2023.

Before 2023: Quanta was "the world's largest notebook computer ODM." After taking the top spot in 2001, it held that position for more than two decades. Globally, roughly one in every three to four notebooks came from Quanta. Customers included Apple, where Quanta was one of the main MacBook manufacturers, as well as HP, Dell, Lenovo, and almost every major brand. This was a massive, extremely low-gross-margin business, with notebook ODM gross margins staying in the low single digits for years and growth already mature. The market long assigned Quanta a 6.5-11x "pure manufacturing discount" P/E.

After 2023: Quanta became "the world's second-largest rack-scale AI server ODM." As of 2026Q1, servers accounted for more than 80% of consolidated revenue, of which AI servers represented about 75% of server revenue. Notebooks had fallen to less than 15%, and automotive electronics were below 10%. In other words, today's Quanta is essentially a company that performs system integration and assembly for NVIDIA Blackwell rack-scale systems. It has transplanted the precision manufacturing, component management, and scaled delivery capabilities built over three decades in the notebook supply chain into the new, explosively growing track of AI compute infrastructure.

The vehicle for this new business is QCT (Quanta Cloud Technology), a 100%-owned Quanta subsidiary founded in 2012, a full decade before the current AI wave. QCT spent years quietly manufacturing white-box servers for hyperscale data centers, and its penetration of the world's top 50 data-center customers is said to exceed 50%. That decade of patient positioning paid off in one stroke when demand for NVIDIA GB-series rack-scale systems exploded in 2023: Quanta became one of only 4-5 global ODMs certified for NVIDIA Blackwell rack-scale systems, delivering the full chain from L6 (motherboard) -> L10 (complete system/node) -> L11 (rack-scale system integration). L11 rack-scale integration is where the technical content lies. A single rack consumes more than 100,000 watts, with GB200 NVL72 at about 120,000 watts and GB300 even higher; liquid cooling, power delivery, mechanical design, and system testing are far more complex than in standard rack servers. This is Quanta's differentiated barrier relative to pure motherboard makers.

In one sentence: Quanta has changed from "the company that sells notebooks" into "the company that sells shovels in the AI gold rush, and assembles the shovels for the mine owners." It does not mine gold, meaning it does not operate compute services. It installs NVIDIA's GPU "shovel heads" into rack-scale "shovel handles" and delivers them to cloud mine owners. That positioning determines all of its glory, real shipments and surging revenue, and all of its destiny, hard-earned assembly economics and a 4.78% gross margin.

III. Vertical Review: A Three-Stage Leap Over 37 Years

Stage 1 (1988-2000): founding and the night before reaching the top. In 1988, Barry Lam, born in Shanghai in 1949, raised in Hong Kong, and trained in electrical engineering at National Taiwan University, co-founded Quanta Computer with C.C. Leung with initial capital of only TWD 30 million. Lam had previously participated in the computer business at Kinpo Electronics and understood the manufacturing model deeply. Quanta rode the 1990s wave of globalized notebook outsourcing, rising quickly on cost control and delivery capability, and listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in January 1999.

Stage 2 (2001-2022): twenty years as the notebook king. In 2001, Quanta became the world's largest notebook ODM and then held that position for more than two decades. Those twenty years were a period in which scale was king and gross margin was servant. Quanta perfected notebook ODM manufacturing, but it also experienced the ceiling of the manufacturing business: gross margin was suppressed in the low single digits for years, and growth slowed as the PC industry matured. The market long treated Quanta as a mature stock with high dividends, low growth, and low valuation, with its P/E hovering around 6.5-11x for years. The key foreshadowing came in 2012: Quanta founded QCT and entered cloud server manufacturing, beginning to build white-box servers for hyperscalers. That move looked unremarkable at the time, but it planted the seed for the transformation ten years later.

Stage 3 (2023 to present): a second founding in AI servers. ChatGPT ignited generative AI in November 2022. From 2023 onward, NVIDIA data-center GPU demand exploded and evolved from "selling chips" to "selling full racks," with GB200 NVL72 becoming NVIDIA's first product sold at rack scale. With QCT's decade of server capability, notebook-era supply-chain management, and full-system integration engineering, Quanta secured a position among the NVIDIA-certified rack-scale ODMs. Revenue and share price were re-rated together: from FY2023, the server revenue mix rose rapidly; FY2025 revenue reached TWD 2.1236 trillion, up 50.5% year over year; 2026Q1 revenue grew 66.6%; and the share price re-rated from about TWD 70 in 2023, crossing 400 at one point in October 2025, completely rewriting this "old notebook maker" into a core AI compute infrastructure name.

The recent share-price path in 2026 is especially worth noting because it precisely marks the market's tension: the stock reached 438 in October 2025, a 52-week high -> on 2026-05-15, the investor conference disclosed that 2026Q1 gross margin had plunged to 4.78%, and the next day the share price fell 8.52% to about 306 (the market's first pricing of "revenue boom but gross margin collapse") -> AI sentiment then recovered, and the stock rebounded to nearly 417 on June 3 -> it closed at 376.5 on June 8, down 3.59% on the day. The sharp move from 306 to 417 and then to 376.5 within one month is exactly the tug-of-war between "growth vs profit quality" playing out on the screen.

IV. Business Model and Moat: High Scale Barriers, Low Pricing Power

Quanta's business model can be summarized in one sentence: it assembles products defined by the world's most powerful supplier, NVIDIA, for the world's richest customers, the cloud providers, while earning the thinnest assembly spread in the middle.

Both ends of this business are controlled by others:

  • Upstream is controlled by NVIDIA: the core of the rack-scale system is NVIDIA's GPU + NVLink + reference design. Quanta has no design autonomy and can only integrate and manufacture according to NVIDIA specifications. NVIDIA's GPU gross margin is as high as about 70%, while Quanta's rack-scale assembly gross margin is below 5%. Most of the value-chain profit is captured upstream.

  • Downstream is controlled by cloud providers: customers such as Google/Meta/AWS/Microsoft are themselves system designers and buyers, and their scale is far larger than Quanta's, giving them natural bargaining power. They can also split orders among Quanta, Foxconn, Wistron, and Inventec, further suppressing the pricing power of any single ODM.

The most important business-model variable is "Buy & Sell vs Consignment," and it directly determines Quanta's unattractive gross margin:

  • Quanta currently mainly uses the Buy & Sell model: it uses its own funds to buy expensive core components such as NVIDIA GPUs and HBM high-bandwidth memory, then sells the completed system to customers with both materials and labor included. The benefit is very large revenue, because high-priced components fully enter revenue. The drawback is that gross margin is heavily diluted by expensive components. The denominator, total revenue including GPUs, is huge, while the numerator, the assembly spread, is thin, producing the 4.78% result.

  • By contrast, Foxconn uses more of the Consignment model: customers buy GPUs themselves and only entrust Foxconn with assembly, so Foxconn's revenue does not include GPU materials, and reported gross margin is higher, about 6.18% in the same 2026 period. This partly explains why Foxconn's gross margin is structurally higher than Quanta's.

  • Quanta's mitigation: from the second half of 2026, some orders will shift to the Consignment model, which should theoretically help gross margin recover. But it also means revenue growth will slow because components no longer enter the income statement. This is a tradeoff of revenue for gross margin and is a key variable to track for Quanta.

Moat score: moderate, 2.5-3 / 5.

Real barriers that protect Quanta's ability to win orders:

    1. NVIDIA Blackwell rack-scale certification is limited to only 4-5 global ODMs. Certification involves deep engineering collaboration across cooling, power delivery, and system stability, making it hard for new entrants to catch up quickly;
    1. L11 rack-scale integration capability. Liquid cooling, power delivery, mechanical design, and system testing for a single rack above 100,000 watts are real technical barriers, distinguishing Quanta from companies that only make motherboards or nodes;
    1. Scale and supply-chain management. More than three decades of notebook manufacturing have trained Quanta in component procurement, capacity scheduling, and global delivery across Taiwan, China, the United States, Mexico, and Thailand. In today's extremely tight AI server delivery environment, this is tangible competitiveness;
    1. Deep customer ties. Long-term cooperation with Google/Meta and others, plus order visibility into 2027, create meaningful switching costs.

Weaknesses that do not protect its ability to earn attractive profits:

  • Gross-margin power is extremely weak at 4.78%, with value-chain profit squeezed by NVIDIA and cloud providers from both ends;

  • Customers are also the system designers and can split orders at any time. In the GB300 phase, Quanta's share has already been diluted from about 40% to about 30% by the new entrant Inventec, proving that share can be diluted;

  • The product itself is highly standardized and replaceable. Differences among ODMs are more about capacity, yield, and delivery timing than irreplaceable technology;

  • Peer Wiwynn (6669) has a gross margin around 8%, recently around 7.5%, far higher than Quanta's. This shows that even within the same track, Quanta is not the strongest in profitability.

Conclusion: Quanta's moat is the classic kind with high scale barriers and low pricing power. It can defend its position as the world's second-largest rack-scale ODM through scale and certification and win massive orders, but it cannot defend a respectable margin. This is the structural destiny of the manufacturing business and one fundamental reason the rating cannot be "Buy."

V. Financial Vertical Review: Revenue Doubled in Two Years, But the Other Side Is 4.78% Gross Margin and Negative Cash Flow

Quanta's financial statements look like a physical exam showing a powerful upper body and a lower body losing blood.

Revenue side: explosive growth, real and strong.

  • FY2025 revenue was TWD 2.1236 trillion, up 50.5% year over year. FY2024 was already a high base, yet revenue has expanded rapidly for two consecutive years and nearly doubled over two years;

  • 2026Q1 revenue was about TWD 809.2 billion, up 66.6% year over year, with quarterly growth accelerating rather than slowing;

  • Monthly revenue growth in 2026 has remained in the +60% to +120% range year over year, with good news every month;

  • TTM revenue has reached about TWD 2.447 trillion.

This revenue growth is top tier among large-cap Taiwan stocks. The reality of AI server orders is not in doubt.

Profit side: the manufacturing destiny of revenue growth without margin leverage, with dense warning signs.

  • FY2025: gross profit of TWD 148.3 billion, gross margin of 6.98%, operating profit of TWD 87.4 billion, operating margin of 4.12%, net profit of TWD 74.99 billion, EPS of 18.91 diluted / 19.45 basic, and ROE of 31.19%;

  • 2026Q1 gross margin plunged to 4.78%, the lowest in nearly fifteen quarters, down 1.54 percentage points quarter over quarter and 3.14 percentage points year over year. Quarterly net margin was only about 2.62%, net profit was TWD 21.192 billion, and EPS was 5.5;

  • The gross-margin collapse had three causes: 1) product mix, as the share of high-unit-price AI rack-scale systems increased and the Buy & Sell model put expensive GPU/HBM costs into the denominator, accounting for about 2/3 of the deterioration; 2) one-time pilot-production/introduction costs during the GB200 -> GB300 generation transition, accounting for about 1/3; 3) HBM memory price increases pushing up component costs.

In one sentence: the explosive revenue growth has barely translated into proportional margin improvement, and the Buy & Sell model has instead made gross margin thinner. This is the financial evidence for "selling picks and shovels at a 4.78% gross margin."

Cash flow and balance sheet: high growth is consuming working capital.

  • Operating cash flow has been negative for two consecutive years: about TWD -39.5 billion in FY2024 and about TWD -10.4 billion in FY2025. The reason is rapid AI server growth plus the Buy & Sell model, under which Quanta must pre-fund huge purchases of GPU/HBM and carry them in inventory and accounts receivable. The working-capital gap widens as revenue surges;

  • The balance sheet has shifted from net cash to net debt of roughly TWD 118.2 billion, with debt-to-equity around 1.26, as the company borrows to support growth;

  • ROE looks impressive, at 31.19% at year-end and 36.84% TTM, but a DuPont breakdown exposes the quality issue: a thin net margin of about 3% x high asset turnover of about 1.87x x high financial leverage = high ROE. This is ROE supported by turnover and leverage, not ROE earned through pricing power and margin. Its quality is far below that of a branded company or software company.

Shareholder returns: one of the few clear positives.

  • Quanta has paid dividends for 32 consecutive years. FY2025 cash dividend was TWD 15.6 per share, payout ratio about 80%, implying a 3.99% dividend yield at the current price. This is the definite return Quanta provides as a mature manufacturing leader and an important support for the share price;

  • But note that the high dividend payout, 80%, and the board's 2026-02 decision to pursue a GDR cash capital increase, discussed in Section X, point in opposite directions. Generous dividends on one side and dilutive financing on the other reflect the tension between maintaining an image of shareholder returns and funding high growth.

VI. Industry and Cycle: The AI Server Supercycle and Rack-Scale ODM Landscape

Quanta's fate is deeply tied to a major narrative: the global AI compute infrastructure super-capex cycle.

Tailwinds, real and strong:

  • The four major North American cloud providers, Google/Meta/AWS/Microsoft, plus Oracle and emerging NeoClouds such as CoreWeave, xAI, and Nebius, continue to revise 2025-2026 AI capex above expectations, driving surging demand for data-center GPU rack-scale systems;

  • NVIDIA's product cadence continues from GB200 (2024-2025) -> GB300 (2025-2026) -> Rubin VR200 (2026-2027). Each generation raises rack unit price and value content, with a GB300 rack at about USD 3.99 million and Rubin VR200 estimated by Morgan Stanley at about USD 7.8 million per rack. ODM absolute revenue and value added rise accordingly;

  • The rack-scale trend is structurally positive for ODMs like Quanta that have L11 rack-scale integration capability. Value content upgrades from "selling boards" to "selling full rack-scale systems."

Headwinds, cyclical and structural:

  • Capex cyclicality: AI capex cannot grow at a high rate forever. Once cloud-provider capex growth slows or reverses, whether because AI monetization falls short of expectations or because depreciation pressure rises, as reflected in Michael Burry's criticism of hyperscaler depreciation assumptions, Quanta, with more than 80% of revenue exposed to AI servers, will have severe downside earnings sensitivity;

  • Generational decline in gross margin: although each generation's rack unit price rises, ODM gross margin percentage is structurally moving lower. Morgan Stanley estimates that Rubin VR200 implies an ODM gross margin of only about 1.9%, versus about 2.7% for GB300. This means that even if revenue keeps rising, gross margin percentage remains under continuous pressure, and Quanta can only offset it with absolute gross-profit growth and operating efficiency;

  • Intensifying share competition: rack-scale ODM is a huge market with many participants. Foxconn, Quanta, Wistron, Inventec, and Wiwynn are all competing, and share is reshuffled with each product generation.

  • Foxconn (2317) has about 3,700 racks and more than 44% share, firmly ranking No. 1 globally;

  • Quanta has about 2,100 racks, ranking No. 2 globally;

  • The remainder is split among Wistron/Wiwynn, Inventec, and others;

  • Looking only at the NVL72 model: Foxconn has about 45-48%, Quanta about 40%, and Wistron about 10%;

  • In the GB300 phase: Quanta's share is about 30%, down from about 40% for GB200, mainly because new entrant Inventec took about 10%.

Quanta has a firm position as "global No. 2," but being No. 2 also means it neither matches Foxconn's scale and margin advantage, from a larger scale and more customer-supplied-material model, nor can it ignore share erosion from Inventec and Wistron, the No. 3 and No. 4 players.

VII. Horizontal Benchmark: Five Taiwanese AI Server Manufacturing Leaders

Putting Quanta into the peer map of Taiwanese AI server manufacturers makes its relative position clearer: leading scale, ordinary profitability, and a relatively high valuation.

Three horizontal insights:

  • Quanta's 6.86x P/B is the highest among the five Taiwanese leaders. The market assigns Quanta the highest asset premium, yet its gross margin, 4.78%, is on the lower side. This is a mismatch worth watching: the highest valuation premium paired with profitability that is not the strongest.

  • Wiwynn (6669) is the counterexample on profit quality. Its gross margin is about 8%, recently around 7.5% and the highest among Taiwanese peers, because ASIC rack-scale systems and product mix are better. Its market capitalization of about TWD 980 billion to TWD 1 trillion is already nearly twice that of its parent Wistron, about TWD 560 billion. The market has clearly assigned a purity premium to "pure AI server + high gross margin." Quanta, as a notebook + server hybrid, has less AI purity than Wiwynn and lower gross margin than Wiwynn. This explains why, although Quanta is much larger than Wiwynn, the quality basis for its valuation premium is less solid.

  • Foxconn suppresses Quanta on scale plus model. Foxconn is No. 1 globally by scale, its customer-supplied-material model gives it structurally higher gross margin than Quanta, and its P/E (17.7x) and P/B (1.58x) are both lower than Quanta's. In other words, buying Foxconn gets larger scale and higher gross margin at a lower valuation. Quanta's premium over Foxconn requires it to keep proving greater growth elasticity, which is not an easy task.

Horizontal conclusion: Quanta is an excellent student on scale and position, ranking No. 2 globally, but only a middle student on profit quality and valuation value-for-money. Its valuation premium comes more from expectations of rising AI server purity and growth elasticity than from already-delivered profitability.

VIII. Current Fundamentals and Bull-Bear Debate: TTM Expensive vs Forward Cheap

The current bull-bear debate around Quanta can be compressed into one valuation dividing line: should it be priced on the trailing twelve months (TTM) or on the next twelve months (forward)?

Bear view, looking at TTM:

  • Customer-designed ASICs, such as Google TPU, AWS Trainium, and Meta MTIA, are net positive rather than negative for Quanta. These self-designed chips still require ODM rack-scale assembly, and Quanta has higher penetration with ASIC customers than Foxconn. They can reduce dependence on NVIDIA as a single upstream supplier and improve gross-margin structure because ASIC rack-scale systems do not include ultra-expensive GPU components;

  • A 32-year dividend record and 3.99% dividend yield provide downside support.

The essence of the dividing line: whether Quanta is worth today's price depends on one core question: can triple-digit AI server growth be delivered without further gross-margin deterioration? If yes, with gross margin stabilizing and revenue continuing to grow, the forward 13-16x multiple is cheap and the stock can enjoy a Davis double play. Historical valuation anchor: from 2015 to 2022, Quanta's P/E stayed for a long time at 6.5-11x, reflecting a pure manufacturing discount. After the AI re-rating in 2023, it jumped into the 20x range. The current 20.3x is the absolute top of the past decade and 2.2 times the "pure manufacturing mid-cycle" level of about 9x. The market has already fully priced in the re-rating expectation for an AI server leader.

The current price is neither cheap nor obviously overvalued; it is reasonable but tight.

Ideal buy price: TWD 320, about 14x forward P/E, roughly 15% below the current price, and just above the upper end of the bear range. At this price, even if gross margin remains under pressure in the near term and capex cools temporarily, downside risk would be partly absorbed by the low forward valuation and a margin of safety would begin to appear.

X. Risk Analysis

1) Earnings quality / structurally thin gross margin [high probability x high impact]: the core risk. 2026Q1 quarterly gross margin of 4.78% was the lowest in nearly fifteen quarters, net margin was only 2.6%, and gross margin is structurally below Foxconn's 6.18%. The Buy & Sell model's pre-funding of expensive GPU/HBM components is the structural dilution source.     The absolute height of the ceiling is substantial, but Quanta is expanding an existing market rather than creating a new one, and it receives the thinnest slice of that market's profit pool.

    Start with the size of the market itself. Quanta's core battleground is AI data-center rack-scale ODM assembly. Demand in this segment is defined by NVIDIA's rack shipments: Morgan Stanley estimates annual shipments of GB200/GB300 NVL72 racks will rise from about 29,000 racks in 2025 to 70,000~80,000 racks in 2026, while value per rack keeps rising by generation. A GB300 rack is about USD 3.99 million, while a Rubin VR200 rack is estimated at about USD 7.8 million, nearly double. So viewed through absolute revenue capacity, the ceiling is indeed moving higher. Quanta's FY2025 revenue has already exceeded TWD 2.12 trillion, up 50.5% YoY, and 2026Q1 revenue reached TWD 809.2 billion, up 66.6% YoY. The trajectory is still upward.

    But is this creating a new market? No. AI data centers and hyperscale servers already existed. Rack-scale deployment is an evolution in which NVIDIA upgrades the selling unit from boards to full racks. The market is created and defined by NVIDIA through GPUs. Quanta is the outsourced manufacturer serving an existing large market, doing the work of assembling products invented by others at scale. The report states this plainly: Quanta assembles products defined by the world's most powerful supplier, NVIDIA, for the world's richest customers. It does not have the ability to define the market, nor does it own the source of demand.

    Very likely, and it may well more than double. Growth is mainly driven by a dual engine of price, as value per rack rises by generation, and volume, as rack shipments double. It has little reliance on a true new business.

    Start with momentum. Quanta has already nearly doubled over the past two years: FY2025 revenue was TWD 2.1236 trillion, up 50.5% YoY; 2026Q1 quarterly revenue was TWD 809.2 billion, up 66.6% YoY; and TTM revenue was about TWD 2.447 trillion. The report states that AI server order visibility has extended into 2027, with monthly revenue maintaining 60%+ YoY growth.     • Upside inflection, triggering a Davis double play: The Consignment model starts to work in 2026 H2, GB300 full-production trial costs are amortized, and quarterly gross margin stabilizes and rises for two consecutive quarters to 5%+ or even 6%+. Once the market confirms that the ODM fate thesis has been disproved and net margin can hold, low forward valuation of 13~16x and EPS upgrades will work together. This is the most important inflection signal repeatedly emphasized by the report.
    • Downside inflection, triggering a Davis double kill: Gross margin stays below 5% or makes new lows, ODM gross margin declines further to about 1.9% in the Rubin generation, dragging EPS below expectations; or cloud AI capex guidance is cut and order visibility narrows; or more sell-side firms follow Goldman into a conservative view.
